RCO Young is the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra’s new and international youth orchestra. It consists of young talented musicians between 14 and 17 years old and is to represent all of the countries of the European Union and reflect the diversity of Europe.
RCO Young summer camp
The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (RCO) Amsterdam is looking for talented, under-represented European musicians aged 14-17 for its first-ever RCO Young summer camp in 2019.
Successful applicants will follow a programme focused on democracy, personal leadership and inclusion, all while attending an intensive programme of group practice, orchestra rehearsals, chamber music, coaching sessions and workshops led by professional workshop leaders & members of the RCO.
The first RCO Young summer camp takes place from 7 to 25 August 2019 at Akoesticum.
Participants will have the opportunity to work together with outstanding musicians from the RCO and, upon conclusion of the camp, to play in concerts under the direction of a renowned conductor at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and at the Flagey Concert Hall in Brussels.
