As a national training centre for music, dance and theatre, Akoesticum believes that art is indispensable for the development of people and for connecting people in society. With this in mind, Akoesticum has been contributing to a better society with a small team since 2014, with the performing arts as its objective. A sanctuary to come together, rehearse, learn, create, experiment and inspire each other. A place where you come out richer than you went in.
Located next to the Veluwe in former barracks built in 1906, Akoesticum welcomes groups from the Netherlands and abroad on a daily basis for one or more days of rehearsals, workshops, training or education. From (inter)national youth orchestras to dance courses for over-sixties, but also the business market makes use of the creative environment of Akoesticum. In addition, Akoesticum offers a wide range of public performances, from try-outs to characteristic concerts.

Voluntary work
Volunteers are more than welcome at larger events and other busy periods, especially at the weekends. Do you like culture and receiving guests and visitors? Send us a message! We will let you know as soon as possible if and when we can use some reinforcement.
At the moment, we are also looking for a volunteer who would like to lend a hand in our inner garden. So, if you like to work in our garden now and then, send us a message.
Work/ Internship placement
Akoesticum is a recognised work placement company
We learn every day, also from each other and from our trainees. We are an SBB accredited training company (MBO) and an ELBHO accredited work placement company (HBO/WO). Would you like to gain work experience with us? Feel free to contact us.
