A rich history
Akoesticum is located in the former Johan Willem Frisokazaerne built in 1906. A contemporary location with a rich history at a stone's throw from the Ede-Wageningen train station and the Veluwe nature reserve.
Akoesticum has 3 large and 9 smaller rooms, a meeting room and free parking space. This provides ample space for various types of events and meetings for up to 250 people.
The spaces lend themselves to both cultural and business events. Stop by, and be inspired!

Akoesticum has beautiful, light rooms with optimal acoustic facilities. As a result, each individual room can be used for undisturbed musical practice.
The combination of large and small spaces can support a wide variety of activities, such as (corporate) training courses, knowledge meetings, concerts, group rehearsals, competitions, etc: (company) training courses, knowledge meetings, concerts, group rehearsals, competitions, master classes, auditions, try-outs, meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.
It is also possible to stay the night. There are 56 sleeping rooms available, and up to 150 persons can stay overnight at Akoesticum.

Akoesticum is located next to De Sysselt nature reserve. This is an extensive woodland area to the east of Ede, containing heathland and old planted shifting sands. The nature reserve merges into the vast nature reserve of the Ginkel Heath.

In addition to thirteen halls, Akoesticum also has a number of attractively furnished general areas, such as a café, reading room, two entresols and a lovely garden. We would like to discuss the possibilities for your meeting with you. Together we will find a suitable tailor-made solution.

Artisanal regional products
Our catering options and packages have been carefully compiled by our in-house caterer Kookkazerne. They are specialised in working with daily fresh seasonal products and deliver daily fresh meals and snacks for your meeting. Extensive buffets with delicious products, a surprising walking dinner, a cosy shared dinner, a richly filled BBQ or festive festival food are among the possibilities. Any diets and allergies are always taken into account, so that your guests with special dietary requirements are also well catered for.
Thanks to our close cooperation and years of experience, they know exactly what the possibilities are at Akoesticum. Together we will make your event a success!
Instrumentarium
Free use of our instrumentarium
If you rent a space at Akoesticum, you can make free use of our instrumentation, which includes symphonic percussion, a drum kit, pianos and grand pianos. The same goes for stage equipment, LED spotlights, lecterns and orchestra chairs - while stocks last.

Overnight stays
Staying overnight at the Frisokazerne
Akoesticum has 56 bedrooms located at the front of the building. These one, two, three, four and six person rooms are perfect for a multi-day event. The breakfast buffet is included in the price.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in for an overnight stay at Akoesticum is possible from 3 PM. Of course, it is possible to drop off your luggage at our front office earlier in the day. Check out is possible until 10 AM.
