"Workshops, in-service training, rehearsal and experimentation, Papendal for art. The fact that it is also a hotel has many advantages. For instance, you can do relatively a lot in a short time because you don't have to keep going back home. It also increases the focus on what you are doing. At the same time, the place can be a meeting place for artists and performers from different disciplines. And work can be done from small to large. Two actors and a director in one room and a large orchestra with choir alongside.
Try again. Fail again. Fail better. I don't remember who ever said this. Beckett perhaps? If you think you can do something, that you have completely mastered it, that you have been taught, then chances are you have reached a dead end in your career. You are never out of the game. The 'search for' is the way. The result in the end is the least interesting.
I hope Akoesticum will become such a place where musicians, dancers and actors can work on their craft, in a protected environment looking inward with the aim of deepening their knowledge. That is why I wholeheartedly support Akoesticum."

"Besides perfect accessibility, Akoesticum has the facilities to accommodate a wide range of musical activities. There is peace and quiet and a pleasant ambience in which you can optimally prepare for concerts and performances. That is why I am a real fan of Akoesticum."

"Music has taken a central place in my life. It started 30 years ago as a hobby, for my enjoyment and as an outlet. It is the same for most active music lovers. Preferably, you do it together in a group and in an appealing place.
I welcome the arrival of Akoesticum as it provides a unique platform for larger groups of active music, dance and theatre enthusiasts in particular to meet.
To learn, practice and inspire each other. In suitable spaces that are affordable, with good resources and in a natural environment that connects people. A place that motivates and through which new creative ideas also emerge. Moreover, we can expect this breeding ground to be a springboard for future professional talent."

"The simple process of practising and repeating is an important resource for being successful and creative. This is a lesson I learnt in my career as an opera singer and experience every day. With talent alone, you don't automatically become a good artist. As a marine I had to train a lot to do my job well, as an opera singer it is still the same.
In doing so, nature has always provided me with the space to get and stay with myself, certainly essential for an artist. It incites my curiosity and stimulates me to get the best out of myself.
This is why I am happy to be an ambassador for Akoesticum. It is a catalyst for creativity, an inspiring environment to develop your talent. Akoesticum is in the middle of nature and thus offers everything you need to develop yourself."
