As a national training centre for music, dance and theatre, Akoesticum believes that art is indispensable for people's development and connection in society. With this in mind, Akoesticum has been contributing with a small team to a better society with the performing arts as its commitment since 2014. A sanctuary to come together, rehearse, learn, create, experiment and inspire each other. A place where you come out richer than you went in.
Located on the edge of the Veluwe in a former barracks from 1906, Akoesticum welcomes groups from home and abroad on a daily basis for one- or multi-day rehearsals, workshops, training or education. From (inter)national youth orchestras to dance courses for the over-sixties, but also the business market likes to make use of Akoesticum's creative environment. In addition, Akoesticum offers a wide range of public performances, from try-outs to characteristic concerts.

Volunteer
Volunteers are very important to Akoesticum. They ensure that our heritage building is beautifully maintained, that everyone feels welcome and at home at Akoesticum, or show visitors around to keep the heritage of the Johan Willem Friso Barracks alive. Akoesticum is a recognised apprenticeship company! We ourselves learn every day, also from each other and from our trainees. We are an SBB-recognised learning-working company (MBO) and an ELBHO-recognised work placement company (HBO/WO). Would you like to gain internship or work experience with us?
