Crowdfunding successful!

Akoesticum successfully completed a crowdfund campaign in six days. We didn't expect it could go so fast. Thanks, thanks, thanks to all the investors and support from our team! We had immediately opened the bubbles, albeit without alcohol 😉 because the work goes on! The last months of the year are the busiest at Akoesticum. Thanks to this investment, we don't have to wait any longer for the necessary replacement of the furniture.

What are we doing it for?
This crowdfunding will allow us to make the necessary investments needed already in the coming months. After a decade of rehearsing, making and experimenting, things are going to wear out. Thank you to the volunteers, especially our Gert, and the whole team who stand and repair and restore every time. You almost wouldn't say it, but some of the furniture is even fourth-hand.After almost a decade of use, it really is time for new furnishings to maintain the quality of our rehearsal venue.

Over the next 10 years, we want to improve facilities for performing artists. For instance, we want to buy new lecterns, chairs, tables and the like to replace what is worn out. In doing so, we would like to choose the newer options that are light, stackable, collapsible and movable. This makes it easier to adapt the halls to the makers' wishes and we are more economical for our colleagues who now have to lift the mostly heavy equipment. We distinguish between furniture for the halls and furniture in the general areas. Our cast floor also needs an overhaul. It has been on the list to be taken care of for some time.

What's next.
We set about repairing the floor. Erik and Sam from facilities had already partly orientated on the possibilities in terms of replacement furniture, but have not yet found what meets their requirements. The first items they want to replace are the lecterns. We are looking for lecterns that are light, durable and movable. Furthermore, the gentlemen are orientating to the possibilities in the mobile table world. We want to see the tables in person and test them properly before making a choice. If you know someone or have come across something yourself that Sam and Erik should look at, let us know! Please email info@akoesticum.org.

We'll be back at the end of January with a first update. Then we will also take you through the process of the barracks stories.
