Gospel Biennial 2026-2027
Singing together. Connecting together. Building community together.
Gospel Biennial 2026-2027
The Gospel Biennial 2026-2027 is a nationwide participatory project of Akoesticum and ZO! Gospel Choir that focuses on education, meeting and community building. With workshops, joint singing moments and presentations, the Gospel Biennial brings together singers, choirs and communities from all over the Netherlands.
Made possible by Cultuurfonds, VSB-fonds and Gemeente Ede.
About the Gospel Biennial
Gospel is more than music. It is a powerful way to bring people together and create connection. During the Gospel Biennial, participants discover their voices, learn new repertoire and meet singers from different cultural and musical traditions.
From low-threshold Singology workshops to in-depth meetings and joint presentations, participants develop musically and personally. At the same time, space is created for intergenerational and intercultural encounters, where new networks and collaborations grow.
From meeting to movement
The Gospel Biennial focuses on sustainable impact. Professional teachers guide participants so that they can put their knowledge and experience to work in their own communities, in choirs, neighbourhoods, schools and healthcare institutions.
This creates not just an inspiring track, but a lasting movement in which people continue to meet and sing together. New initiatives emerge, local communities are strengthened and gospel gains a lasting place in the Dutch choral landscape.

The Gospel Biennial 2026-2027 will start soon. The agenda of workshops, meetings and presentations will be published soon. Keep an eye on our website and sing along.
